As many of our readers probably already know, actress Braeden Bruner is the new Emma on General Hospital. She’s taken over the role from outgoing GH star Brooklyn Rae Silzer. For many years, Brooklyn has played the beloved legacy character but decided it was time to leave her soap career behind.

It goes without saying that there were a lot of fans that certainly did have a lot to say about the new Emma and how Braeden did on her first day on the job.

Some even commented with, “She looks great and Emma is a long missed part of the canvas, even with her parents being absent. I hope we get more of the Devane family. The actor playing Kai has the looks of a good Gabriel Devane (might be too young now).”

Another critic wrote, “Emma is way too young to be Gio’s mom. They are supposed to be the same age. It was obvious from today’s episode that Brook Lynn and Dante are Gio’s parents. I thought Lois was going to scream it out when Ned started talking about his first grandchild.”

“Oh and Emma will probably be revealed to be one of Nina’s kids.”

And then there was this comment as well: “She didn’t need to be SORAS’d. Emma should be 18 -20 and Brooklyn Rae could play that age. This actress is another one of the recent recasts that is a few years away from looking like they need an AARP card.”

“We already AarpIDAN, then we had grandMOLLY and now we oldEMMA. She looks like she is closer in age to Willow and Sasha who are in their 30s then she looks to be 18 – 20.”

So far the producers of the soap did not make any comments about the criticism they’ve received.
