With everything that she’s gone though this past year, this doesn’t surprise us one bit. There’s a new report that says Kate Middleton wants to take things slow. And by slow, we mean really slow.
As many royal fans and critics alike know, the Princess of Wales has had one of the most challenging years of her life with her cancer diagnosis.
That’s why it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Kate Middleton has decided to stay out of the spotlight for as long as possible.
She’s been very choosy with the royal engagements and public appearances that she’s been taking on just because she doesn’t want to overdo it. After all, the Princess of Wales just did complete her chemotherapy treatments and it’s not like she’s out of the woods just yet.
One source close to the situation even put it this way, “It’s categorically not a snub. They have had a full-on year and I don’t think anyone can expect Catherine to be effectively hosting lunch for hundreds of people.”
However, there are some critics who say the Princess of Wales was quite picky with the work that she chose to do even before her cancer diagnosis, so it’s not like much has changed anyway.
After all, both Prince William and Kate Middleton are known to have done the least amount of royal engagements per year in the past. They’ve even been called a ‘work shy’ couple by the British press. Clearly, not much has changed between now and then.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in.

The Princess was diagnosed the first of the 2024 year but she was suffering the exhaustion from having cancer before the diagnosis and she has three young children. She deserves a big helping of grace for all she accomplished, not a “work shy” title. Bless her heart.
