In the episode airing on Monday, December 16, Billy tracks down Phyllis at Society to offer her some comfort. He attempts to revisit a recent discussion about their plans to take down Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). However, it appears that both are inadvertently distancing themselves from their loved ones.
Billy is set on seeking revenge against Victor for undermining him regarding Chancellor, a move that could signal trouble for his relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Additionally, Billy’s relationship with the rest of the Abbott family is currently strained.
Phyllis is feeling quite distressed about the shifting dynamics involving Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Initially, she was taken aback when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) decided to represent Sharon as her attorney, interpreting this move as a personal betrayal.
In a moment of vulnerability, Phyllis shared her troubling flashback about the truck incident with Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).
However, Lauren relayed this information to Michael, which only deepened Phyllis’s resentment, casting doubt on whether Sharon was truly responsible for the accident.
Worse, with Sharon recently discovering that her bipolar medication had been tampered with, Phyllis is increasingly anxious that her rival might evade accountability for Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) tragic fate.
Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is still grappling with his mixed emotions regarding Sharon, but upon hearing the latest news, he realized her actions might be linked to her tainted medication.
With Christmas just around the corner in Genoa City, there’s plenty of time for unexpected developments. Meanwhile, Billy and Phyllis appear to be rekindling their old connection; if they both find themselves excluded from family holiday celebrations, they might end up at the GCAC bar, nursing their sorrows.
Could this lead to a passionate holiday rendezvous? It wouldn’t be surprising to see Billy and Sally together Christmas Eve, only to get into a heated argument, especially if Billy can’t stop talking about his plans for revenge against Victor.
Billy probably has no intention of visiting the Abbott mansion, especially since he skipped Thanksgiving altogether. Meanwhile, Daniel might be gearing up to spend Christmas Eve with his rock star father, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damien), and his friend Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), which would definitely irritate Phyllis.
Their daughter, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), could either be at the Newman Ranch or with her father, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), or even Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell). Imagine if Sharon is cleared of all charges by Christmas Eve, and the truth about Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian Ward (Ray Wise) comes to light!
The storyline is full of surprises, and if Sharon receives this holiday miracle, Phyllis could become even more furious, pushing her further away from her friends and family.
Meanwhile, Billy and Phyllis might find themselves spending a lonely Christmas Eve, feeling downcast and perhaps indulging a bit too much in the eggnog. Could this lead them to escape to a GCAC suite and rekindle some of their old flames?
Phyllis and Billy shared undeniable chemistry in the past when Gina Tognoni portrayed Phyllis. And it’s likely that the same sparks would ignite with Michelle Stafford as Phyllis.
