If he could turn back time, he certainly would. There’s a new report that says country star Morgan Wallen pleads guilty, will serve incarceration time after throwing a chair off a rooftop bar in Nashville, Tennessee in April. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to the latest reports, Wallen had his felony charges reduced to misdemeanors in a plea agreement with the DA office.
It’s also been noted that Wallen was sentenced to seven days at a DUI Education Center and two years probation.
“Earlier today (12/12/24), Morgan Wallen appeared in Davidson County Circuit Court with Judge Cynthia Chappell presiding where he entered a conditional plea pursuant to Tennessee’s Diversion Statute that does not result in a conviction,” lawyer Worrick Robinson said to Fox News.
“The plea agreement with the Office of the District Attorney requires Mr. Wallen to spend 7 days at a DUI Education Center, be on probation for 2 years – one year for each of the misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment – pay a $350 fine, and court fees.”
“Upon the successful completion of his probation, the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement.”
Many critics took to the internet to weigh in on the matter. Some even said, “Morgan Wallen sees jail time for this but a gang member caught in LA county with a gun won’t see the inside of a cell unless it’s his 4th time! Crazy times we live in!”
Another critic said, “Seems fair, good thing he didn’t have on a MAGA hat at the time, they would have given him time. He has to be relieved no one was injured.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Reduced charges and minimal sentence demonstrate effective legal maneuvering – the kind of strategic damage control that preserves both reputation and future earnings potential.”
