Maybe they decided to take a trip to Hawaii as well? There’s a lot of speculation that suggests Barack and Michelle Obama might be none too pleased that Kamala Harris lost the election to Donald Trump.
That might also be the reason why they’ve decided to disappear from the public spotlight. It’s been weeks since anyone has even seen Barack or Michelle Obama, let alone hear from them and of course, a lot of people want to know why.
Both Barack and Michelle were very vocal about their support for Kamala Harris and even hit the campaign trail in the hopes that they could help her win the keys to the White House. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough as Donald Trump won the election in a landslide.
Not only did he manage to win all of the key states he needed to get over 270 electoral votes, but he also won the popular vote, which is something he didn’t do back in 2016.
For the Democratic party, they definitely see this as a failure. No one wanted to see Donald Trump back in the White House, and especially not the Obamas. This was certainly not part of the plan.
But now that it’s all over, it seems like both Barack and Michelle have absolutely no reason to say anything in public anymore. They’ve done their job.
While they certainly didn’t get the result that they wanted, all they can really do is just hope that the next four years are not going to be as difficult as it was for the Democratic party back in 2016 when Trump won the first time around.
So far the Obamas have not made any comments about the matter just yet.
