Apparently some people didn’t get the memo? That seems to be the case as there’s heavy speculation on social media that one publication is still considering making Kamala Harris their person of the year. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

There’s a new report that suggests TIME Magazine is considering naming Vice President Kamala Harris as TIME’s Person of the Year.

But could this really be a good idea? That’s because it’s been noted that a few of Kamala’s accomplishments in 2024 include becoming the Dem candidate with no votes and losing the 2024 election while spending $1.5B.

But if Kamala doesn’t end up being the number one choice, other names on TIME’s list include Joe Rogan, Kate Middleton, Elon Musk, Yulia Navalnaya, Benjamin Netanyahu, Jerome Powell, Claudia Sheinbaum, Donald Trump and Mark Zuckerberg.

Of course, the internet certainly has had a lot to say about the matter. Some comments have included, “This would end TIME Magazine once and for all. They would be laughed out of existence.”

What’s Next For Kamala Harris?

“However, TIME choosing Elon to me would signal they’re trying to cause a rift between the two (because that would obviously irritate Trump).”

Another critic wrote, “How could Kamala Harris be considered the person of the year? She was the lowest rated VP of all time. She was appointed as the Democratic nominee.”

“Then proceeded to lose the popular vote, electoral college, and every swing state. With a campaign of over $2 billion dollars.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Every conservative and republican should cancel their subscription if Time magazine has that service. At least never buy it again. If I was a smart businessman, which I am not, nor do I play one on TV. I would start a conservative Time-like magazine to compete.”
