During his interview with Meet the Press, President-Elect Donald Trump revealed that he will end childhood vaccinations if RFK Jr. determines that they are dangerous for children.
Of course, this statement is very controversial as some people think that it might bring back measles and whooping cough among other potentially deadly diseases.
Many infectious disease and public health experts and vaccine advocates say a confluence of factors could cause renewed, including polio.
If that weren’t enough, RFK himself said Trump had given him three “instructions”: to remove “corruption” from health agencies, to return these bodies to “evidence-based science and medicine”, and “to end the chronic disease epidemic.”
Of course, the internet has had a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “I’m about to be a first time father in January, now I’m extremely worried about vaccines I want to protect my daughter and the government wants me to poison her or loose her!?”
“I will die on this hill there’s no need for my perfectly healthy daughter to get poisoned.”
Another critic wrote, “Eliminating childhood vaccinations would be a huge mistake. Millions upon millions of children’s lives were saved from polio, measles, meningitis, pertussis, pneumonia, tetanus, diphtheria, smallpox and hepatitis via vaccination.”
“The prudent course of action is to ensure the safety of vaccinations, not eliminate them. Real scientific evidence regarding benefits vs side effects is critical in avoiding the mistake of eliminating a crucial disease fighting tool for the sake of a fashionable craze.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Chronic disease is not necessarily linked to vaccination. What’s the difference between dying acutely of infectious disease or from chronic disease? It has to do with longevity.”
