But Jack and Diane played a skillful ruse, making their son and Abbott family members believe they were splitting up. Diane then convinced Victor to give her Glissade as payment for firing Kyle.

What Victor is doing now is obvious. He’s lost what he believes is a first round. Jack appears to have moved to the next round.

Before leaving the reimagined Ranch House, Jack made sure to mention Glissade. The look on Victor’s face, when Jack told him he’d bought the Glissade pieces on the cheap at the reimagined Ranch House was a masterful soap moment.

Victor seemed to reveal that he thought Jack, like Diane, would be mad about realizing the shell of what was a cosmetics company. Instead, Jack enlightened his nemesis, with Victor’s stern gaze implying that he didn’t anticipate that answer.

Victor’s threat shook Kyle. Mealor’s character is repairing his relationship with his parents and has agreed to return as Jabot’s co-CEO.

However, Kyle was deeply hurt when he revisited Diane’s abandonment of him and Jack years ago. That reopened wound is far from healing, and Victor is exploiting that vulnerability.

Diane was also thrown off when she engaged with Victor. She didn’t immediately respond when he told her that her family wouldn’t last.

Victor is attempting to use his mind games to divide the Abbotts. He could be successful in playing what was termed the long game. But Jack’s fortitude is evident, and he plans to remain on the offense, with Diane and Kyle helping to fire at Victor and Newman Enterprises indefinitely.
