There are just other priorities in her life right now. There’s heavy speculation that suggests Melania Trump is refusing to compete with Kamala Harris or even Jill Biden for that matter.
That’s because she has absolutely no interest in posing for Vogue magazine in the same way both ladies did for her. Instead, Melania says that she wants to focus on more important matters at hand.
While speaking to Fox News in a new interview, the former model said that she doesn’t feel the need to return to modeling anytime soon.
Host Brian Klimeade said, “One thing that stood out for us is here you are, this beautiful international model, and you’re the first lady of the United States, the world’s most popular country.’
He continued, “You’re in the White House, and you’re not on the cover of any of these magazines. Do you think that will change? And would you say yes to them — the Vogues, the Peoples, whatever?”
Melania then answered with, “Look, I’ve been there on the covers — on the cover of Vogue, on the covers of many magazines before.”
“We have so many other important things to do than to be on the cover of any magazine,” the first lady added. “I think that life would not change for anybody if I’m on the cover.”
Clearly, Melania doesn’t want to be compared to either Kamala Harris or Jill Biden, as both women have posed for Vogue in the past. Nor does she want to follow in their footsteps when she feels like she can carve her own path.
But then again, it’s not like Melania has been asked to cover for the fashion bible, anyway. She wasn’t asked to pose for Vogue back in 2016 and it doesn’t look like she’s being asked to do so now, either.
