According to a new report, the former president says Republicans are the ones who rig elections and weaponize the justice system while speaking at a “Democracy Forum.”

He said, “One side tries to stack the deck and lock in [very long pause]…”

“A permanent grip on power, either by actively suppressing votes or politicizing the armed forces or using the judiciary criminal justice system to go after opponents.”

Needless to say, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about Obama’s statement. Some fans and critics on both sides of the aisle took to social media to write, “Sounds like it’s the same old playbook for the Democrats.”

“Accuse others of what they are doing is actually their number one play. But this was so out there that he couldn’t even get the words out of his mouth.”

Another critic wrote, “Obama talking about rigged elections is like a thief blaming someone else for the robbery. He built the system that’s doing exactly what he’s whining about.”

“They accuse us of what they are actively doing everyday along with the help of the media.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Projection at its finest. Obama accuses Republicans of ‘rigging elections’ and ‘weaponizing justice,’ but let’s not forget the IRS targeting conservatives or the DOJ’s selective prosecutions. This is classic: accuse your opponents of exactly what your side has mastered.”

So far Barack Obama has not made any additional comments about the matter.
