According to the latest reports, Pete Hegseth just revealed that President Trump told him to remain in the fight to get confirmed. He even said, “I spoke to the President-elect this morning. He said keep going, keep fighting…”
When one reporter asked him, “So you’re in this all the way?” Hegeseth responded with, “Why would I back down? I’ve always been a fighter. I’m here for the warfighters.”
Per one new report about ten current and former Fox employees say that Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick for defense secretary, drank in ways that concerned his co-workers.
It’s been said that a lot of Pete’s co-workers could smell alcohol on him right before he went live on air.
Of course, the internet certainly has had a lot to say about it. Some critics even wrote on social media, “Is it really Senator Ernst who thinks she can get Trump’s chosen Secretary of Defense to back down? That would be a contradiction in terms.”
“And Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and I’m sure McConnell… all the usual suspects.”
Another critic wrote, “If anyone is wondering who is behind this smear campaign, shockingly it’s not Democrats. It’s these two traitorous warpigs— Lindsey Graham and Joni Ernst. Fight, Fight, Fight Pete!”
And then there was this comment as well: “Why would Pete Hegseth back down? Everyone should get a hearing. Any Senator talking shit right now needs to be removed. Hegseth is the only choice for the job….period!”
So far Donald Trump has made no comments about the matter just yet.
