Days of Our Lives star Susan Seaforth Hayes, who is best known for her role as Julie, recently opened up about the death of Doug Williams and what’s in store for her own future. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Susan Seaforth Hayes?

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Susan said that it was wonderful to see soe many actors come back for her husband Doug Williams’ funeral in Salem. As many readers know, Doug was played by Susan’s real-life husband, Bill Hayes.

She told the publication, “I was excited to see all of them that came back. I was particularly excited to see Gloria Loring [Liz] and getting to hear her sing again [at Doug’s funeral]. We were allowed, budget-wise, to have one piece of music at the funeral.”

Susan also added that she got to sing the classic ‘Always (I’ll Be Loving You)’ as well. Sh said, “The family was great. The contribution of the people that I had asked to perform overwhelmed me. They were so good.”

Now, as far as whether or not she’s been able to watch Doug’s funeral episode, Susan said, “I haven’t been able to look at it yet. Maybe sometime I will. I spoke at my mother’s [writer/actress Elizabeth Harrower] funeral, too. I’ve never been able to look at the tape of that either.”

That said, Susan added that she will always hold the memories of her mother and her late husband very close to her heart for a special reason.

She said, “Billy had been a member of [First Christian Church of North Hollywood] for 45 years. “The enthusiasm and the love that he received from that church was in the room. It was a very positive experience.”
