Days Of Our Lives Comings & Goings Dec 2-6: Major Characters Return To Say Goodbye + Character Debut

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that the week of December 2-6 will not only be an emotional five days, but one filled with massive character returns.

As fans learned during the Thanksgiving episodes, Doug Williams peacefully passed away in his sleep. Over the next week, family, loved ones, and friends will return to Salem as the show not only gears up to say goodbye to Doug, and pay tribute to the legendary Bill Hayes, but also celebrates the soap’s milestone 15,000 episode, which is set to air on Monday, December 2.

Days Spoilers: Stars Of Yesteryear Return

DOOL spoilers note that there will be some major players from “Days” past who return for Doug’s memorial. Stephen Schnetzer will reprise his role as Steve Olson, Julie William’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) brother, on Monday, December 2.

The actor played Steve on DOOL from 1978-1980 and is also best known for characters like Cass Winthrop on Another World and Marcello Salta on One Life to Live.

Across town, Liz Chandler will also return on Monday’s show, as Gloria Loring reprises this role, a character she played from 1980-1986.

In addition, Julie’s aunt Marie Horton, played by Maree Cheatham, will return on Monday’s 15,000th episode. The character was part of DOOL’s debut in 1965 and appeared on and off until 1973.

DOOL Spoilers: Character Comebacks

Days spoilers remind fans there will also be character comebacks from more recent years. Victoria Konefal returns to reprise the ever-popular Ciara Brady Weston, and Bryan Dattilo will come back as Lucas Horton.

In addition to all the massive character returns, actor Peyton Meyer will debut on Tuesday, December 3 as Doug Williams III.

The character is set to play Doug’s long-lost grandson, and it sounds like he’ll be linked to a 1970s surrogacy storyline where Doug donated his sperm. How will Julie react when she runs into “Doug”? Gans will have to tune in to find out!
