It’s not like it’s going to happen anytime soon, but it seems like everyone wants to be prepared no matter what. There are new reports that suggest plans are already being made for King Charles’s funeral. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
It seems like ever after King Charles was diagnosed with his cancer, his staff has not wasted any time behind the scenes. But unfortunately, everyone around him has to tiptoe about it because the King of England does not want to talk about his death. This has certainly made things very difficult behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace.
One insider says, “The Palace sprung into action [after Charles’s cancer diagnosis]. William and his team have agreed on what they will focus on at the start of his reign and funeral plans for his father.”
“He does not feel comfortable speaking [about it] at length, so nothing more than is needed is brought up to him.”
It’s also been reported that plans for the monarch’s funeral, called Operation Menai Bridge, are being finalized as there are some staffers at Buckingham Palace who believe that King Charles could die anytime soon.
He’s struggling to even get up from bed on some days and apparently all he wants to do is rest.
Another source close to the situation even put it this way to In Touch Weekly, “The business of planning his funeral has already begun. Unpleasant as it seems.”
The tipster added, “The Buckingham Palace is giving the impression that Charles is on the mend, but he’s still very sick. Still, he’s the king and palace officials are practical enough to know death is a possibility.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
