General Hospital Spoilers: What Was With That Look That Lois and Gio Shared?

General Hospital Spoilers report Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is rather bent on figuring out what is going on inside the Quartermaine home that her ex-husbands, Ned Quarteramine (Wally Kurth), and her own daughter — Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) — are keeping from her.

Accusing her of not being able to keep a secret, they aren’t budging. When Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) walked into the room, and Brook Lynn sought his opinion as back-up reinforcement that Lois can’t keep a secret, Gio locked eyes with Lois and the fans took note!

There have been murmurings of secrets from Brook Lynn’s past in the last couple of months, and many have suspected they may have something to do with Gio.

The theory is growing that Brook Lynn may have given up a child for adoption years ago, and that Gio may be that baby, albeit all grown up. But did that stark stare between Lois and Gio signal that he knows the truth — even if Brook Lynn doesn’t?

The fans were on pins and needles waiting to see what would transpire after Lois and Gio locked eyes over the question of Lois’ ability to keep a secret. But alas, there was no resolution.

When the scene came back to the Q mansion living room, Gio was gone and Lois was stuck without any answer to her question of what happened on Halloween night and why no one would tell her.

Of course, Brook Lynn has since opened her mouth about the whole ordeal, but does that mean it’s over? Probably not. Lois has a very tight alliance with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and she may find it hard to conceal what is happening in his son’s marriage.

GH Spoilers Suggest Lois and Gio Share a Secret

But for the moment, we’re stuck on why Gio would have reacted that way to being asked about how well Lois can keep a secret. It’s as though her eyes cut right through him when Brook Lynn put him on the spot.

Assuming the theory that Gio is actually Brook Lynn’s son she gave up for adoption is true, does this mean Gio knows that? Would he really agree to come live at the Q mansion with his birth mom and not tell her of their relation? Would Lois really cosign that?

It’s possible that Sonny and Lois stayed in Gio’s life as a means of knowing and protecting their grandchild. Never did they imagine that the woman they set him up with as a mother would die when he was just ten years old. But that left him as a bit of a latchkey kid they all got to pitch in and take care of.

Still, at what point would he and Lois have told Gio the truth — that the woman he knew and loved and grieved over losing as his mom was not his biological mother?

Is it too far-fetched to think he would be mature enough to accept that, not cut them out of his life, and then secretly immerse himself into his birth mother’s life without any transparency?
