It looks like we might know why Melania Trump decided to decline Jill Biden’s offer to visit with her at The White House this past week. And it all has to do with some of the things Jill said about Donald Trump a few months ago. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to the latest reports, right before Election Day, Melania Trump spoke to Paris Match to talk about her husband Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.
Melania said in the interview that Jill reached out to her right after the attempt was made, but the former first lady isn’t sure if Jill’s intentions were of the pure kind.
That’s because only a few days before that, Jill Biden went on the record to say some pretty nasty things about Melania’s husband.
Melania told the French outlet in her interview, “I do question, however, whether Jill’s concern was genuine as a few days prior she referred to my husband as ‘evil’ and a ‘liar.'”
“It was obvious that the onslaught of rhetoric from Democrat leaders and the mainstream media was so deeply embedded in our nation’s consciousness it prompted an attempt to assassinate Donald.”
Clearly, Melania has a reason not to trust Jill Biden and doesn’t want to talk to her, let alone be in the same room with her.
And while Donald Trump seemed to have gotten along very well with Joe Biden during his visit to the White House on Wednesay, Melania feels like she just can’t fake it around the Bidens and that’s why she decided to sit this trip out.
Then again, it’s also being reported that Melania might not be spending much time at The White House once her husband takes office again.
That’s because she only wants to travel to D.C. when she absolutely has to. In fact, some people are already saying that Melania is only going to be a part-time first lady.
So far Melania Trump herself has not made any additional comments about the matter.
