Is she having a hard time moving on or finding work in the television industry?
That’s what a lot of soap fans and critics can’t help but wonder as there’s strong speculation suggesting Kelly Monaco might be struggling to find a job after she got fired from General Hospital. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
As many readers are aware by now, Kelly was left absolutely blindsided when it was announced over the summer that she was being let go from the hit ABC soap.
It came as a huge surprise to her mostly because she didn’t see it coming and of course, also because Kelly has been on the show for more than two decades. A lot of people even consider her alter ego Sam McCall as a legacy character.
By now, a lot of people would have expected another daytime television show like The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless or even Days of Our Lives to swoop Kelly in and hire her for their soap. But that simply hasn’t happened.
After all, when her former co-star Steve Burton got fired from Days of Our Lives, it didn’t take very long for Days of Our Lives to put him on the payroll.
Perhaps Kelly just needs a little more time or she’s just having some bad luck. Either way, this is certainly very concerning for her legion of fans, as they not only worry about her, but also want to see her back on the canvas sooner rather than later.
Kelly’s got a lot of talent and if she doesn’t continue her career in the soap opera world, a lot of people are hoping that she makes the switch to daytime television instead.
So far Kelly Monaco herself has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space.
