If there’s anything that fans have learned about The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden over the years, it’s that when he’s got something to say, almost everyone in the room sits up and listens.

And that’s exactly what happened this past week again when the actor, who is best known for his role as Victor Newman on the hit CBS soap, sent a message to his female fans on social media. 

Let’s just say that when it comes to politics, Eric certainly doesn’t mince his words. He took to his X (formerly Twitter account) to write to his female fans and voters: “Only women should decide issues involving women’s issues!!”

But in true Eric Braeden style, he did write it all in capital words. That way everyone knows that he means it. 

Of course, his fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even replied with, “Nope. And a woman, a real and naturally born woman, babies are made by two people…a man and a woman. This means that baby is the child of both the mother AND THE FATHER!!!”

“I usually agree with you on a lot of things but I don’t agree with you on this.”

Another critic wrote, “Women choose courtship, men pick wives. Women are conservative with who they date, men are conservative with who they marry. Women are picky when it comes to sex, men are picky when it comes to commitment.”

“To be a wife you have to be selected. We need Fathers to teach this.”

The Young and the Restless News: What’s Next For Eric Braeden?

Another critic wrote, “You got that right! How would any of those men who think they should tell women what to do like it if it was the opposite?”

“It’s great a man understands. Thank you very much for your support! Here’s hoping that women everywhere are going to decide this election, too.”

So far Eric himself has not made any additional comments about the matter.
