Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Johnny is doing what almost every guy does in the very beginning of a relationship before he ghosts. But in Johnny’s case, he’s doing this out of pure guilt.

Johnny is love-bombing Chanel to the extreme as he feels guilty about his tryst with Joy. But at the same time, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to win Chanel back.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Carson Boatman, who plays Johnny on the hit Peacock soap, says that his character is bound and determined to prove his love for the beautiful brunette.

He said, “He tries to be extra affectionate, extra loving… He’s trying extra hard to make up for what he knows he’s done, but that Chanel doesn’t know that he’s done. He believes that the only way he can stay in and save his marriage is to keep [his tryst with Joy] a secret and let Chanel know how much she means to him.”

“If anything, he loves her now more than ever. It’s like you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. He is almost realizing what it would be like to lose her, and so he loves her as if she could already be lost.”

Now, as far as how Johnny feels right now, Carson says that groveling is the perfect word.

The actor said, “It takes some time. He kind of has to warm her up again,” while also adding that Johnny is “absolutely going to give it his all.”

Now, whether or not that will actually happen remains to be seen.
