The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) arrest is unsurprising. He was shocked, but the viewers were not because they knew how far Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) had gone to hang a payback revenge frame around his neck.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was the first to recognize Sharon as the most likely suspect. She firmly believes Sharon killed Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and has set Daniel up for that crime.

Like everyone else, Daniel couldn’t believe that Sharon was capable of murder. But he is being forced to see his mother’s perspective. In the meantime, he’s suspected of murdering Heather and can’t yet clear his name.

This section header question is killer. Fans are being led to believe that Sharon is definitively Heather’s killer.

However, devoted audience members know that Sharon voluntarily went off her medication months ago. When pressed, she later acknowledged doing so.

But her children and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) have no hard proof that she’s been regularly taking her needed prescriptions or that she’s seeing a therapist.

What viewers know is that Sharon used a projection of Cameron Kristen (Linden Ashby) to guide her actions the night she went to Daniel, Heather, and Lucy Romalotti’s (Lily Brooks O’Briant) apartment. A struggle was shown, with Heather and Sharon falling to the ground and a resulting blackout.

It could be that Sharon tried to prevent Heather from contacting the authorities but is not responsible for Bloom’s character dying.

The object Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) found in the apartment and appears to have confirmed as being the one that was used to hit Heather on the back of her head could have also been applied to Sharon.

Was there another person in the apartment that viewers still need to know?

Various possibilities exist, with Heather’s ex from Portugal seeming to be a good bet. That type of side character would provide the perfect out as he could be the killer and someone who manipulated Sharon, who believed she was seeing Cameron guide her to dump the body.

The writing staff deserves credit for creating a well-written fall thriller. The crescendo’s spooky elements could lead to a climax by Halloween or shortly thereafter.

Daniel is facing unjust arrest and likely prosecution unless Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) can convince the legal system that there is reasonable doubt. For the moment, he looks terribly guilty.

It feels as though a cascading storyline will clear Daniel and Sharon. But that will take time and more drama in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
