As many DOOL fans know by now, Brandon was unceremoniously fired from the Peacock soap. And of course, everyone still wants to know the reason why. 

And while there are a lot of actors who still come back to their original roles even after they’ve been let go, Brandon is not sure if that’s in the cards for him.

When asked about the prospect of ever returning to this fictional town of Salem, Brandon himself said, “I don’t know, this is the second time this has happened to me at Days of our Lives.”

The actor continued, “And, you know, it would, it would have to be very, very right. The terms would have to be right. The story would have to be right, the contract would have to be right and I would have to be able to trust them and I don’t.”

“I’ve lost that. I’ve lost that ability to trust that team, quite frankly. And, you know, I think of it as, you know, when I make a business decision, first and foremost, I have to trust the person I’m going into business with.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Brandon Barash?

“And I wouldn’t go into a marriage with a woman who I felt when the going got tough, she would just leave and the same goes for business.”

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Many critics commented with, “Why in the world are they letting him go? He has been fantastic and I like him with the new Gabi. This is definitely a mistake on Days’ part.”

Another critic said, “This is so disappointing. Why get rid of Stefan? He is an awesome actor, and I love it when he and EJ go at each other. There is still so much storyline between him, Gabi, and EJ. They need to keep him!”

And then there was this comment as well: “I loved him as Johnny on GH, but I preferred the first Stefan. That will never happen again for obvious reasons. I’m kind of bored with this Stefan. Still crazy how it was done though.”

So far Brandon himself has not made any additional comments about the matter just yet.
