General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, October 24 tease plans needed, shocking news, and a mother’s encouragement. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) needs a plan, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) delivers shocking news, and Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) receives a mother’s encouragement.
At GH, Portia engages in a conversation with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) regarding contingency plans. It seems Elizabeth has a backup strategy, as Portia mentions that if the first plan fails, she might consider that alternative.
Portia is in a frantic race to protect Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) from Heather Webber (Alley Mills), even though Trina’s perception of safety is quite different from Portia’s own.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) made a promise to Portia that sounded alarmingly like he was arranging for someone to eliminate Heather! Surely, Elizabeth must have a much better solution in mind!
At Pentonville, Ric shares some life-changing news with Heather, leaving her stunned—though perhaps in a good way, it was certainly unexpected. Both of them are taken aback by this unexpected turn of events, and Heather can hardly believe it as she questions whether Ric is joking.
The judge has overturned Heather’s sentence, granting her freedom, but now the big question looms: where will she go next? With no family or friends to support her, what are her options? A halfway house might be the only choice, but those typically cater to parolees who have served their time, not to someone whose sentence has been vacated!
At the hospital, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) offers heartfelt encouragement to Isaiah as he readies himself for Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) surgery.
Her optimism shines through as she reflects on a past experience where Lulu triumphed against the odds. Grasping Isaiah’s hands, she assures him that if he gives her the opportunity, she will achieve victory once more!
The surgery is fraught with danger, and even if it goes well, there’s a chance Lulu may never regain consciousness. It’s nothing short of a miracle that they’re even permitted to proceed, considering Lulu’s current quality of life is nearly nonexistent!
In the hospital room of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), where preparations for her surgery are underway, an unexpected guest makes an appearance.
However, it’s clear that Sam isn’t worried at all. With a calm demeanor, she informs her visitor that she’s aware they want something-they always do.
The mysterious figure seems harmless, at least in Sam’s eyes. Who could she be conversing with? Later, her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and her daughter, Emily “Scout” Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante), will visit, and we’ll see Scout cozying up to her mom in the hospital bed!
While Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) is managing a crisis, he still finds time to address the concerns of a visibly anxious Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
He quips, “If you have to ask, then you’re not as clever as I thought!” Meanwhile, Carly is preparing to discuss something important with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and there might be a connection between their conversations.
Jason has already been informed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is in the United States, and it’s likely that Brennan is aware of this too. However, his primary focus is on the diamonds that Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) stole and handed over to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for him to sell.
Sonny is currently meeting with Jason after discussing Holly’s “business arrangement.” Jason has come to a solid understanding that Holly took Sidwell’s diamonds prior to assisting him, Anna, and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) in Africa.
During their conversation, Jason inquires whether Sonny will be able to “get it done” quickly.
By “it,” he likely means fencing the diamonds and striking an agreement before Sidwell has the chance to find them. However, there’s a significant hurdle; after an attempt by Sidwell’s henchman on Isaiah’s life, he alerted Sidwell about where he was!
