Say it isn’t so! General Hospital comings and goings say actress Jophielle Love, who is best known for her role as Violet on the hit ABC soap, is leaving Port Charles for now. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

General Hospital Star Jophielle Love Says Good-Bye To Port Charles

The young actress recently opened up about her departure from the soap in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. 

She also recalled her debut as Hayden and Hamilton’s young daughter back in 2019. She said, “I remember my first scene with Michael and Rebecca.”

“I remember thinking that it was funny that my first scene on General Hospital was in a hospital bed after I had just been on the set next door, on Grey’s Anatomy, also in a hospital bed. I also remember bonding right away with my new parents. I loved fixing Michael’s hair before each scene.”

Jophielle also said of her character’s most recent storyline: “The rehab is done, so Violet has no reason to stay away from her dad, but it is so sad that it means leaving the show for who knows how long!”

“I was very sad. It was fun to end it with a tea party, which is Violet’s favorite thing to do. But the long good-byes .… so hard. I think I was already crying before they called, ‘Action!’”

General Hospital News: Good-Byes Are Never Easy

The talented young star also admitted that she understands where Violet is coming from, especially when it comes to saying good-bye.

She explained, “Violet says, ‘It’s weird to feel so happy and so sad at the same time.’ She was happy to be on her way to see her dad, and also incredibly sad to leave her new home and family at the Quartermaines. And I felt just like that on this last day. It was almost like crying while smiling…  and then I realized I was the one going through that door!”
