Because this time she’s announced that she’s gotten married, but it’s not what you think. The pop star says that she has married herself.

Wearing what looks like a bridal gown, Britney wrote on her Instagram account, “The day I married myself … Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done.”

As many fans can recall, the pop star had pulled the plug on her marriage to Sam Asghari last year.

Back in 2024, fans were still very much concerned about Britney and her mental health. 

During a reel that she posted on social media, the chart topper’s hair looked quite disheveled, her makeup looked like it was put on the previous day and her clothes were rather wrinkled. 

This is not the same Britney Spears that everyone is used to seeing both beautiful and glamorous on the red carpet. Instead, it’s quite the opposite.

Britney ​​was under her father Jamie Spears’ conservatorship for 14 years. And while everyone thought that she had found the love of her life in Sam Asghari, he ended up pulling the plug on their very short marriage as well.

Things could definitely be better for Britney Spears, but at the moment, it’s anything but. She doesn’t have many friends that she can trust around her. And while she did reconcile with her mother Lynne Spears, it seems like they also have a long road ahead of them in repairing their relationship as well. 

So far Britney herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received, although at this point it’s doubtful that she will. 

Here’s hoping that things do get better for our favorite chart topper.
