Reports say that Liam died in Argentina. Witnesses say that he fell from the third floor of a hotel room in the Argentinian capital.
As many fans know, Liam became a household name thanks to his fame with the British boy band One Direction. His former bandmates included Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
What’s more, he was also in a relationship with singer Cheryl Cole. The former couple welcomed their son, Bear Grey, back in 2017.
It’s been reported that Liam was in the South American city to support his former bandmate Niall Horan whose world tour included dates in Argentina.
Local reports say that police were called to the hotel in the capital’s leafy Palermo neighborhood responding to an emergency call that cited “an aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol.”
Ambulance workers later confirmed the death of the singer, who was found in an interior hotel patio.
It was reported earlier in the week that his ex fiance Maya Henry had issued a cease and desist to Liam Payne for allegedly obsessively contacting her and her friends and family.
What’s more, Liam has plans to star in a new Netflix reality show. He reported signed on to join former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and The Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger to judge attempts to create a band in a new Netflix show.
So far Liam’s former One Direction bandmates have not released any statements in regards to his sudden death.
