General Hospital Spoilers: All About Jonathan Jackson’s Huge Reunions

General Hospital actor Jonathan Jackson recently opened up about his character Lucky’s much-anticipated reunions with Laura and Sonny on the show. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Jonathan says that it was an incredible feeling for Lucky to see his mother Laura again after so many years. Not only that, but he absolutely loves working with actress Genie Francis, too.

He said, “Just seeing her again was wonderful. It was such a joy. The idea and the thought of getting to work with Genie again was a huge part of the inspiration and the drive to come back to the show. When I was here in 2010 [after his original 1993-99 run], she wasn’t on the show.”

“And I’d had such a great time working with Tony [Geary, ex-Luke] again, and I always felt like, ‘Man, I wish Genie was here. I would love to get to work with her at this stage in my life.’ And, yes, I did get to work with her very, very briefly when I was here for a couple of episodes [in 2015] when Tony was leaving, but it just wasn’t really enough. And it’s been almost a decade since then!”

Not only that, but Jonathan says that working with actor Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny on the show, has been nothing but fun on the set, too. He said, “I mean, Maurice is one of those people that, with him and I, it always feels like no time has passed.”
