Yikes. This is the last thing that she certainly wants to be compared to. There’s a new report that says Meghan Markle’s former friend couldn’t help but compare her facial expression – and maybe even her face – to that of a wasp. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Meghan Markle and Lizzie Cundy used to have a close friendship before the former Hollywood actress met and fell in love with Prince Harry. The two have had a falling out and Lizzie has made it pretty clear that she’s simply no fan of the Duchess of Sussex.
However, she happened to be at the same charity gala that Meghan was at last week and Lizzie couldn’t help but make a keen observation over Meghan’s behavior.
As many royal fans and critics alike probably already know by now, Meghan was at the gala but only managed to stay for the red carpet. She then managed to slip out through the back door, which is a move that a lot of people harshly criticized.
Some people think that Meghan wasn’t even invited to the gala at all.
In an interview with GB News, Lizzie put it this way, “It’s one of the biggest charity events in Los Angeles. It only happens once every two years and the Hollywood elite are there. It’s the event to be seen at.”
“There were names like Jamie Lee Curtis. We were all on the red carpet and then a huge security presence came through, and it was Meghan in a similar dress to mine. Her’s was a lot more expensive than mine.”
“Everyone looked very shocked. I was hoping she would do something for the charity, maybe do a speech, but it appeared she was just there for the photo-op.”
Lizzie continued, “She wasn’t there for that long – there was a funny point where a lady asked for a selfie and her face looked like she’d swallowed a wasp. She needs LA but LA has had enough of her. She’s cooked a goose there.”
So far Meghan Markle herself hasn’t made any comments about the criticism she’s received.
