Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sally & Billy’s First Romantic Obstacle … Phyllis’s Meddling?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that it looks as if Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could be headed toward a romance.

Billy asked Sally to be his plus-one for the Abbott-Chancellor launch, and there seems to be some chemistry between the two.

While this could rub Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) the wrong way, could Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) prove to be the couple’s first obstacle?

Y&R spoilers note that Phyllis has her plate full right now, mourning the loss of her daughter-in-law, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).

Interestingly enough, during a recent scene between her and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), the cop asked if Phyllis had anyone to talk to during this difficult time. Phyllis assured him she had friends and pointed to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as someone she could lean on.

Still, when it came to reaching out, she headed straight for Billy.

Y&R spoilers remind fans that after Phyllis spoke with Chance, she went to Society to find Billy. He was talking to Sally, and just as she agreed to attend the Abbott-Chancellor launch party, Phyllis interrupted their conversation.

Could the show be foreshadowing something here? As Billy and Sally gravitate toward each other, could Phyllis create a wedge?

She has Nick as a friend, but as Mr. Newman is preoccupied with another ex, who’s got a lot on her plate – looking at you, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) – so, Phyllis may have easier access to Billy. Plus, they work together.

There’s bad blood between Phyllis and Sally from their past. While Sally and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) have been able to put their differences aside and are working together at Marchetti, Summer is not as petty as her mother.

Phyllis may not only demand Billy’s attention, but she may also get into her ear about how dangerous it is to fall for Sally.
