General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, October 10 tease avoidance, guilty consciences, and angry regrets. Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) suspects avoidance, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) has a guilty conscience, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) expresses angry regrets.
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, Kristina walked in ready to confess, but she got the distinct impression that Anna was avoiding her answers. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Anna was subtly trying to dissuade her from speaking up.
This encounter followed Molly Lansing-Davis’s (Kristen Vaganos) earlier visit, during which Molly urged Kristina to pursue Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) regarding the case.
Anna had pushed back, stating that she lacked sufficient evidence-as for Kristina, Anna likely recognizes she’s attempting to shield her mother by admitting to a crime she didn’t commit.
Molly had suggested that Sonny possessed the means, motive, and opportunity to murder John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) , but Anna promptly dismissed her from the office.
At Pentonville, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) engages in a conversation with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), revealing that he believes he might hold the key to her exoneration.
However, Martin is playing a dangerous game, being deceitful with Sonny, who is footing his legal bills. It was Martin who enlisted the help of private investigator Elaine (Judy Kain) to follow Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
If they can disprove Sonny and Carly’s romantic reunion, it would undermine Sonny’s alibi for the night of the murder. Elaine had previously arrived at Jack Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) Metro Court Suite while tailing Carly and had captured some incriminating photos of them together.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) may be expressing her romantic frustrations regarding Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) returning to town; she feels at a loss for what to do!
Despite Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) trying to comfort her by promising not to waver between her and Holly, his past indecisiveness continues to weigh heavily on her mind. Additionally, Diane may be grappling with some professional challenges that are adding to her stress.
For example, the situation surrounding Sonny’s alibi seems to be slipping away, which could be a source of her frustration.
Without the gun that Kristina took from Sonny’s safe being located, since it wouldn’t match the ballistics of the bullets found on Cates—they can’t eliminate it as the murder weapon.
Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) arrives at Anna’s office, asserting, “They knew exactly what they were doing!” He has been delving into the Cates murder, which took place on the Quartermaine boathouse deck, leaving no detail unchecked in his investigation.
It appears that Chase is beginning to suspect that the notorious Corinthos cover-up tactics are at play, suggesting that both the murder and the subsequent cover-up were meticulously orchestrated.
Committed to upholding law and order, Chase isn’t willing to dismiss Sonny simply because he’s adored by his in-laws. It’s a challenging position for a detective when he suspects that his relatives might be colluding with criminals!
Lucky is likely back at GH, engaging in a heartfelt conversation with his mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), who has just returned to town. She noticed him in tears, praying in the hospital chapel, feeling guilty because his liver is too damaged to be a donor for his sister, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins).
Their reunion is filled with emotion, and he may be the one to break the news that, like Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), his liver is also not suitable for donation.
He confesses to his mother that whatever happens to Lulu rests on his shoulders, suffering from a guilty conscience. Laura will probably reassure him, reminding him that he shouldn’t blame himself—no one can rewind time to alter the past.
While Carly is busy confronting Sonny, it becomes clear that she has discovered she’s being followed—and Sonny might have a deeper understanding of this situation than she does!
He may know that their activities have been under closer watch than he initially thought, and it’s possible that he’s also been seen with Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue).
Carly is in a frenzy, nearly losing her composure as she exclaims, “That means I’m going to go down right along with you!” Could this lead them to enter into another marriage of convenience to dodge testifying against one another?
At the Corinthos Coffee warehouse, Jason seethes with frustration, lamenting the missed opportunity to eliminate Cates when he had the chance. His primary motivation was to safeguard his family, particularly Carly, who was being manipulated by Cates, with her freedom hanging in the balance.
Jason, along with others who had crossed paths with the rogue agent, recognized Cates’ corrupt nature and understood that his personal vendetta against Sonny overshadowed any sense of justice.
While his anger is palpable, it’s likely directed inward; he realizes that if he had acted decisively, he could have spared everyone from the ensuing chaos and heartache. Perhaps if he had, he could have prevented the heartache and chaos that Cates caused when alive!
