Of course, we are talking about Sarah Ferguson. She might not be a full-time member of the royal family anymore, but she’s still a controversial figure for the royal family nonetheless.

And there are a lot of reasons for it, too.

Last year, Meghan Markle was none too pleased over the fact that Sarah Ferguson was invited to spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham while the whole world knows that both she and Prince Harry were just itching to be there themselves. 

Unfortunately, Harry and Meghan never received the invite that they so desperately wanted yet Sarah and her husband, the very controversial Prince Andrew, were there.

Also, Sarah Ferguson was refused an invite to King Charles’ funeral. As many royal fans can recall, the Duchess of York also wasn’t invited to his coronation last year.

Either way, Sarah Ferguson has always made a point to praise King Charles in her public interviews. She has always made it clear that she respects him and thinks that he’s a great leader of the monarchy.

In 2023, The Duchess also opened up about the royal family’s crisis. Sarah is the only person with guts to talk about it in public. 

When asked about King Charles and how he’s handling all the drama in his life, Fergie said, “I don’t know how he’s managing. I really don’t. We used to go skiing together. And I honestly have no idea how he’s managing with the amount of paperwork and all the overwhelming things he must have to deal with.”

That same year, Sarah announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The news shocked her fans. She found out about her breast cancer following a routine mammogram.
