There’s no doubt that a lot of people can remember both Prince William and Kate Middleton cheering on British athletes during the 2012 London Olympics. In fact, there was even one viral moment when Kate was so happy and elated that she jumped into her husband’s arms in the stands. 

The Prince and Princess of Wales were certainly in their element back then. Not only that, but they were also in a very good place in their relationship as royal newlyweds, too.

Fast-forward to the present time and things certainly look different for Prince William and Kate Middleton now. Everyone expected for the future king of England to be there to support the athletes just like he did in London, but there was a reason why he skipped out on the games altogether.

Prince William says it’s because he didn’t want to risk getting COVID and bringing it back home to his wife. After all, Kate Middleton is currently dealing with her cancer battle.

Even though she’s completed her chemotherapy treatment, she wasn’t out of the woods just yet when the Olympics were taking place this past summer.

What’s Next For Prince William And Kate Middleton?

Clearly, Prince William is doing everything that he can to make sure that his wife stays safe and healthy. Even though there were plenty of reports suggesting that Prince William was looking to pull the plug on his marriage to the Princess of Wales, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all.

In fact, their marriage seems just as strong now as it did back in 2012 when they were having the best time of their lives during the 2012 London Olympic games.

That said, there’s no doubt that Prince Wiliam will continue to look after his wife and for as long as he possibly can. .

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
