Thre’s heavy speculation that suggests the former First Lady might have just went against her own husband, Donald Trump, and the values of the Republican party.
That’s because Melania appeared to have given her support for abortion rights in a new video.
In the video promoting her upcoming memoir she said “individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard.”
“Without a doubt there is no room for compromise when it comes to this essential right that all women possess from birth: individual freedom,” she added.
“What does my body, my choice really mean?” Mrs Trump further questioned.
Of course, the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “Oh, so now Melania’s speaking out while Trump’s against it? Guess it’s nice to see them finally disagreeing on something other than which room to gold-plate next.”
“Yeah, ok. Is this their idea of an October surprise? Melania, blink twice if you need rescuing.”
Another critic wrote, “So…. OK? Is this supposed to be their way to cancel out the abortion issue? Well, Trump isn’t sure but Melania is! She’ll show him who’s boss on abortion!”
And then there was this comment as well: “Donald Trump is (probably) pro choice. But he’ll say what he needs to say beyond that.”
“Her views are completely irrelevant. Her hubby has already said he wants a federal abortion ban. Already states are outlawing abortion pills. In LA you can be imprisoned up to 5 YEARS if the cops find abortion medication on you without a prescription. Meanwhile the men involved get zero punishment.”
