She just can’t get out of the spotlight, now can she? There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry’s debut as a post-royal statesman was completely hijacked by his wife, Meghan Markle. And no, we are not making this up at all. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to Page Six, Prince Harry spoke at the Clinton Global Initiative summit this past week in New York City. And while there is no doubt that all eyes were on the Duke of Sussex as he spoke about the dangers of social media for children, the headlines focused on his wife Meghan Markle instead.
That’s because there was a huge article in Us Weekly about Meghan Markle and how some of her ex-staffers were trying to defend her against all of the bullying allegations that have been made against her at her Archewell Foundation.
A lot of people are even calling Meghan the “Difficult Duchess” because of her supposed “psycho” behavior behind the scenes.
One source close to the situation even put it this way, “This totally hijacked any coverage Harry got…it was quite an own goal.”
One insider told The Hollywood Reporter that the Duchess of Sussex is anything but a nice person and that she’s gotten increasingly difficult to work with.
The tipster said, “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently.”
“Harry is a very, very charming person—no airs at all—but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”
So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter, but a lot of people believe that the Us Weekly article was probably her way of setting the record straight.
Either way, others think that the timing was all wrong as it took the spotlight off of her husband, Prince Harry.
