Curtis discovered that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) is set to embark on a tour with the renowned jazz trombonist Wynton Marsalis. Despite managing The Savoy for Curtis, Marshall had kept this significant news to himself, and Curtis learned about it through others.
Determined to confront him, Curtis finds Marshall at The Savoy and questions whether this tour opportunity is because of him, and why he’s leaving.
This tour represents a monumental chance for Marshall, who has long been pursuing his dreams in the music industry. One might expect Curtis to celebrate this achievement, yet instead, he is consumed by the fear that his father is once again planning to abandon him.
At the hospital, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) engage in a conversation where Sam expresses her desire to resolve some lingering issues. Dante inquires if this indicates a positive shift, clearly alluding to the challenges Sam has faced in her relationships. He could be referencing either of her children’s fathers, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
Sam has experienced dissatisfaction regarding her connections with both men as they relate to their roles as fathers. Is there finally a sense of being real fathers emerging in the relationships between Jason and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzin) or Drew and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante)?
Ava is at her office in the Jerome Art Gallery when a wave of pleasant surprise washes over her; rising from her desk, she beams and exclaims, “What’s up? I definitely like the sound of that!”
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) opens up to Ava, sharing what seems to be a hopeful update. Could it be that she’s beginning to overcome the deep grief she felt after losing Spencer Cassadine (most recently Nicholas Chavez)?
She has been urged to go back to Port Charles University to finish her degree, and perhaps now she feels ready to take that step.
Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) is clearly irked as he is near a snack machine at GH, facing off with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
She is adamantly opposed to Terry Randolph’s (Cassandra James) choice to rehire Brad at the lab. Portia unleashes her frustrations on him, and in the midst of his own anger, he snaps, “What do you care if I work here or not?”
But beneath Portia’s fierce demeanor lies a deeper issue; she fears that Brad might unveil her tampering with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) blood test results. Determined to keep her secret safe, Portia is ready to go to any lengths, even framing him if it comes to that!
Lucky and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) appear to still be at Bobbie’s, deep in a serious discussion. Lucky assures Liz that he won’t make any promises he can’t fulfill, especially concerning Aiden Spencer (Colin Cassidy).
Over the years, Aiden has begun to lose confidence in his father, just as Elizabeth has. However, Lucky had a moment of clarity by Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) hospital bedside—a realization that he must seek forgiveness not only from Lulu.
He’s learned lessons from realizing his absence during her time of need but also needing to seek forgiveness from Aiden and Elizabeth, as well as the rest of his family.
Heather finds herself trapped within the confines of Pentonville Prison, desperately calling out to a figure who might be a guard, though his face remains concealed.
She has probably just received devastating news about her prison stay being prolonged due to her blood tests revealing no improvement in her cobalt poisoning—courtesy of Portia!
Overwhelmed with frustration and anger, Heather is far from defeated; she vehemently declares her refusal to surrender without a fierce battle!
Acknowledging her transformation in refraining from harming others, she knows she deserves a second chance. But her manipulative tendencies still linger beneath the surface.
