General Hospital Spoilers: Kate Mansi Talks About Kelly Monaco and “Scorched Earth” Scenario

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that fans know Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is doomed and exits the ABC soap soon. They don’t know exactly how she meets her demise, but they expect the tissues and the tears will be flowing.

Monaco’s coworker Kate Mansi plays her onscreen sister Kristina Corinthos-Davis and she spoke to Michael Fairman about the final days of playing opposite Monaco.

Kelly Monaco Out at GH

First off, Mansi settled the question of who is playing Sam from here on out. Lindsay Hartley was recently seen as Sam, and has filled in for Monaco in the past.

Mansi stated that “Lindsay Hartley is not coming back. Kelly is finishing out, and I do have some scenes with Kelly. Working with her has been great.”

According to Mansi, Monaco made certain that she felt welcome when she joined the show as a Kristina recast. Prior to this Mansi played Abigail DiMera on Peacock’s Days of our Lives.

Like many other GH actors, Mansi said she’s going to miss Monaco but said that she is “super-talented and going to go on to do really great things.”

Although fans don’t know how Sam will end up dying, there are some rumors out there. Recently the show gave a clue when it was mentioned that Sam is a diver and wants to retrieve the gun that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) threw into the river.

GH spoilers: When Does Kelly Monaco Leave?

Against this backdrop, Mansi gave a hint as to how the death will affect the Davis clan. She thinks that the latest crisis will bring the fractious family together or blow it to smithereens.

Based on how the family is not getting along, it’s fair to assume that the loss will rock the family and they will do what they have been doing, which is blame one another, specifically Kristina and her sister Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).

GH Spoilers: Sam’s Death Hits Hard

Right now Alexis is in jail, accused of murdering John Cates (Adam J. Harrington). She is protecting Kristina who is at war with Molly over the loss of Baby Irene/Adela.
