General Hospital Spoilers: Will Ric Become More Than An Attorney to Ava as the Court Battles Heat Up?

General Hospital Spoilers suggest Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) was as quick to dismiss the idea of representing Ava Jerome (Maura West) as she was to entertain his presence in her gallery.

These two hardly need each other, but they’re definitely more alike than they are different. While Ava has been trying to stay on the straight and narrow path lately, it’s not beyond her to break some rules if it means getting her daughter — Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) — back.

Sticking it to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) by using his much-hated half-brother for legal representation is just gravy. But cozying up to him in a personal fashion could push the don over the edge. Besides, we know Ava has such great taste in men. But what’s in it for Ric?

General Hospital Spoilers — Burning the Midnight Oil

Ric and Ava are bound to start spending a good amount of time together. Not only is he defending her in the case of FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates’ (Adam Harrington), but he’s representing her in her custody battle against Sonny, too.

With Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) drawing a clear line in the sand and insisting nothing will ever happen between them again, Ric is free to scout out his next mark. Ava is far too easy of one.

GH Spoilers Say Ava Falls in Love Often

Generally, if a man paints himself as a savior of sorts to Ava, she’s all in. She just loves a white knight who can come in and fix her problems.

Pretty much every man in her life in the past has shared that quality. It won’t take long for Ric to realize which cues she responds to and how he can get her to act in accordance with his own agenda — all while not having to share any of it with her.

Of course, Ava is no dummy. She knows the history between Ric and Sonny, but she’s just as interested in sticking it to her baby daddy if she can.

General Hospital Spoilers — What Makes Ric Tick?

Of course, we have to question what’s in it for Ric, too. Hooking up with Ava might be a nice way to pass the time, but Ric typically uses the women in his life to further something else that’s more important to him than companionship or a roll in the hay.

This time around, it’s the same old song and dance, and Sonny already has him pegged. Ric is still bothered by his half-brother and the way his mother chose Sonny over him.
