During her sit down interview with Oprah, Kamala Harris made some rather controversial statements about guns. And it’s one that has a lot of people scratching their heads over it. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Kamala Harris says if someone breaks into her house, “they are getting shot” by her gun, says “I shouldn’t have said that.” Kamala made the comments while speaking out against school shootings.
The Democratic presidential nominee said, “I’m a gun owner, Tim Walz is a gun owner. If someone breaks in my house, they getting shot.”
She then added, “Probably should not have said that, but my staff will deal with that later.”
Of course, it goes without saying that the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some critics even commented with, “This is the same person who believes the government should be able to break into your house to check up on your guns.”
“The problem is, nobody would break into her house, they would only want to break out of her house.”
Another critic wrote, “Why is celebrity Oprah interviewing her and not a journalist? She’s such a fraud. Fake accents, fake stories, fake responses like this to seem relatable.. it’s all fake.”
“Kamala’s hypocrisy is stunning. She’s fine with defending herself with a gun, but pushes for policies that make it harder for law-abiding Americans to do the same. Unbelievable.”
And then there was this comment as well: “This is the same woman who wants to send the police into law-abiding gun owners’ homes to do inspections and forced buybacks of guns Democrats deem scary.”
