Kamala Harris’s running mate Tim Walz is once again making headlines for an awkward comment that he made after being asked about the rising cost of living. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to the latest reports, Governor Tim Walz was asked about how Americans are going to get by with sky-high prices, and responded by saying he grew up in the middle class.
However, it’s been pointed out that this response has become the Harris campaign’s main answer for how they are going to combat inflation.
That’s because back on September 10, Kamala Harris said she grew up in the middle class after being asked about inflation during the debate.
On September 13, she also said that she grew up in the middle class after being asked about inflation during an ABC interview. A few days later, Kamala said that she grew up in the middle class while speaking about inflation with the National Association of Black Journalists.
It goes without saying that the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “Please let Kamala and Walz talk more unscripted because they grew up in the middle class. Every time Walz or Kamala are off a teleprompter, Trump’s numbers increase.”
Another critic wrote, “So basically gaslight Americans by telling Americans she grew up in the middle class but not providing an actual answer?”
“It’s like they don’t even listen to the questions. They just spew out whatever rehearsed answer they have. Complete phonies who want to end free speech and 2a rights.”
And then there was this comment as well: “People who are struggling don’t care about her damn backstory. They want to know how you will produce results.”
“Walz doesn’t say anything about his family that he grew up with that hates him.”
