If there’s anything that we’ve learned about The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden, it’s that he’s someone who always says what’s on his mind, regardless of what anyone has to say about it.

That’s why the actor, who is best known for his role as Victor Newman on the hit CBS soap, has become so controversial for fans. And it mostly has to do with a lot of the things that he says on social media.

Just recently, Eric was upset over Donald Trump and his recent remarks suggesting that the Democrats might have been responsible for his second assassination attempt in West Palm Beach over the weekend.

Eric took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to write: “For the ORANGE GUY to blame HARRIS/WALZ for this supposed assassination attempt is sadly typical for that man and his followers! It’s SICK!!”

There are some long-time viewers out there that think Eric Braeden should go. And it has nothing to do with his political views or his outspoken opinions about current affairs. 

Instead, it’s because his character, Victor Newman, has done everything he possibly could do in this fictional town of Genoa City. 

After one The Young and the Restless wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “They need to get rid of Eric Braden… He has more than run his course on the show,” it didn’t take long at all for others reply.

One critic wrote, “His character, as far as I am concerned, has ran its course on the show because he has done nothing but repeats over and over and over again, same old storyline, which is predictably boring.”

When ric says something, you can also believe that it stirs up so much emotion online that his statements become a story in itself. But we always knew that about him, right?

Eric, who always likes to speak his mind on social media, wrote, “Let me be clear: I AM IN FULL SUPPORT OF KAMALA HARRIS, should she run for the highest job in the country!”

He continued, “That woman KNOWS what is at stake, she KNOWS how to debate as a former prosecutor, she knows the ins and outs of BIDEN’S POLICIES and accomplishments! So, YES to KAMALA HARRIS!!”
