Apparently, King Charles is none too pleased with a video that Prince William and Kate Middleton made to announce that the Princess of Wales has completed her chemotherapy treatment.
That’s because the short clip is just a little too ‘Hollywood’ for his taste. The King of England, along with his wife, Queen Camilla, also didn’t like the fact that William and Kate showed a lot of public displays of affection.
In the video, the Prince and Princess of Wales can be seen having a family day near their home in Anmer Hall with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
However, the royal couple can also be seen kissing and holding hands, which has for the longest time been against royal protocol.
One source close to the situation said that for King Charles, “all that lying round, hugging and kissing – they’re not soppy teenagers. It felt manipulative. He’s still the king and he reportedly thought there were better ways to get the message across.”
But for Prince William and Kate Middleton, they just wanted to do something different.
They know that they fumbled the ball when they didn’t properly announce that Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer back in January 2024.
As a result, there were multiple rumors circulating online and even suggesting that William and Kate were having marital problems just because the Princess of Wales was nowhere to be seen.
It wasn’t until March that the future queen of England addressed the nation by telling them that she was indeed diagnosed with cancer, but for a lot of people, it was a little too late. The damage was already done.
So far the Prince and Princess of Wales have not made any comments about the criticism that they’ve received, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space.

You know I get it that it is a rule while working.. That is working, when they are out spending family time with their children that is family time. I don't see anything wrong showing affection toward each other.. Tha is a healthy relationship and their children seeing that is healthy for them.. It is teaching them that their parents have a committed and loving relationship. Something more people need to do.. There are too many angry people in the world to worry about instead of a married couple showing love to each other. Specially when they go threw what they just went threw.. Showing affection should not even be an issue.
