Victor remains angered that Cole and Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) interfered in the punishment scenario he created for Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk). Unlike Michael, Cole does not seek Victor’s forgiveness because he knows it is a dysfunctional thought.

Victoria’s renewed interest in Cole is genuine. As has often been confirmed, she will also be driven to show her father who is in charge of her life.

So, Braeden’s character has reigned as GC’s kingpin. That has only elevated his status as a manipulator, with Cole in his current crosshairs.

He believes that his family must be protected. That translates to control or attempted control, where Cole comes into play. Victoria is reattached to him, meaning that she is considering a reunion that her father is opposed to.

Cole is familiar with Victor. He will not allow his two-time ex-father-in-law to tell him not to see Victoria. They aren’t under his control.

They’ve recently realized the incredible, learning that their daughter never died. Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is Eve and has quickly transformed from a threat to their lives into a beloved rediscovered part of their souls.

Claire is the natural reentry point into Victoria’s life, so Cole is not deterred when Victor warns him not to pursue Victoria. They were married twice before and could be married again if all goes well.

Cole is not a boy or even a young man, as he was back in the daytime when Peck joined the cast. Like Victoria, he is entirely into middle age and will not be shushed away by Victoria.

Victoria has often endured her father’s over-protectiveness, most famously with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She will not allow Victor to prevent her from deciding Cole is suitable for her again.

A reunion of this particular couple would be natural, given the Claire factor reigniting the reboot. But Victoria can choose Cole mainly because the love they share, like Eve’s, never died.

Victor can’t kill it now. If he pushes too hard, as is often the case, Victoria will likely be forced to make a decision. As of now, it would favor Cole.
