General Hospital Spoilers: Will the Fans Support an Affair Between Jason and Anna?

General Hospital spoilers reveal the fans are starting to gossip that something is amiss between Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and bad boy mob enforcer with a heart of gold Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Could it be that these two have found more that draws them together than pulls them apart? It certainly wouldn’t be an easy relationship to navigate, no matter how serious — or not — it becomes.

They’re essentially from two different worlds, although both of them have qualities that often pull them over to the other person’s side of the fence.

Anna doesn’t always keep her hands clean. In fact, she likes to cherry-pick when the law matters. Some might argue that Jason does the same, but he seems to base his cherry-picking on integrity more so than personal feelings. Can anyone really see these two hooking up?

General Hospital Spoilers — Anna’s Cloud of Shame

One might think Anna has been living under a cloud of shame for shooting Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and that it’s affected her judgment, but she’s certainly not having a hard time dishing it out to Jason either. Her own shortcomings aside, Anna wants to see Jason redeem himself with her.

She wants him to cast Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) aside — a move he has insisted he will never make. This disappoints Anna, but is it really all because she wants to capture Sonny, or is it because she desires Jason in a way that makes her want him to be better — you know, in her eyes.

GH Spoilers Hint Jason Will Always Be Jason

So many women have come before Anna who could tell her the truth if she were only willing to admit it to herself. No amount of conversation, compelling evidence, or even romance and attraction will pull Jason away from his loyalty to Sonny. Even when they were at their worst and

Sonny considered him a traitor he wanted to kill, Jason remained steadfast in his pursuit to protect him and not cross him. He’s not changing for anyone — least of all a woman who compromises her own morals only when it suits her but doesn’t tolerate the same from anyone else.

General Hospital Spoilers — We Still Want to See It

Sure, it’s an unlikely match — unlikely to work out that is. But we’d still like to see this tryst happen. If it did, how would Anna’s treatment of Jason moving forward be altered?

Would she become more likely to defer to him or sidestep charges against him after having slept with him and potentially developed feelings for him? Is the latter part already taking shape?
