According to the latest reports, General Hospital views that have DirecTV will finally be able to watch all of their favorite ABC original programs, along with all of the drama that is currently going on in this fictional town of Port Charles.
Just last month it was reported that Disney and DirecTV were at loggerheads, leaving 11 million customers without access to Disney-owned networks like ABC and ESPN.
DirecTV’s chief content officer, Rob Thun, even said in a statement: “The Walt Disney Co. is once again refusing any accountability to consumers, distribution partners, and now the American judicial system.”
“Disney is in the business of creating alternate realities, but this is the real world where we believe you earn your way and must answer for your own actions.”
Thankfully, the issue has now been totally resolved and fans can now watch their favorite programs without any further issues.
However, some critics have commented on the matter with, “I hope this means I can drop most of the Disney channels that no one in my household never watches – and stop paying for crap I don’t want, need, or watch.”
Another critic wrote, “We live in Tucson, but can’t get MN Vikings or Wild without buying the whole football and hockey packages. Would like to have an a la cart option. Being retired we can’t afford all the extra money.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Sometimes it’s even shorter, Nexstar had a dispute, every media company has a carriage disagreement sooner or later. Disney seems to have more because they have more cable channels, stations than most.”
“Distributors (cable and satellite) want to pay the least; media companies want more. Now Dish and Direct TV are discussing merging.”
