There’s heavy speculation that suggests Kamala Harris might not have been very honest when it came to her past during her debate with Donald Trump on Tuesday night.

That’s because she claims to have been raised in middle class America when a lot of people were swift to point out that she spent her formative years in Canada instead.

During her debate with Donald Trump, Kamala said she grew up in the middle class after being asked if Americans are better now than they were four years ago.

“So I was raised as a middle-class kid… I believe in the ambition, the aspirations, the dreams of the American people.”

But of course, the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter. A lot of people think that the presidential candidate could have been a little more transparent about her childhood and how privileged she may have been while growing up.

Some people even commented with, “Kamala begins the debate with a complete lack of answers to the very first question. Impressive start.”

“Kamala was rich and her dad was a Marxist. Oh, and her family profited off of the slave trade.”

Anoher critic wrote, “A ‘middle-class’ kid with two Stanford University professors as her parents. College free, accommodation free, healthcare free. She’s the child of the elite. Don’t ever believe a word that this woman says.”

“Kamala Harris’s response highlights her middle-class upbringing and underscores her belief in American aspirations though it doesn’t directly address changes over the past four years.”

And then there was this comment as well: “They ask the first question of the debate and she completely ignores it and goes on some weird rant about her childhood. Nobody cares about Harris or Trump’s childhood.”

So far Kamala Harris herself has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space.
