Let’s just say that the timing is all but right. There’s a new report that suggests Jennifer Lopez might have forced her soon-to-be ex husband Ben Affleck to break up with his girlfriend, Kick Kennedy.

That’s because both Jennifer and Ben are in the middle of a divorce right now. The Hollywood actor doesn’t want to do anything that will rock the boat and that’s why he’s decided to put his romance with Kiki on the backburner for now.

Plus, he also doesn’t want to give Jennifer Lopez any more of a reason to make their divorce more painful than it will already be.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “How smoothly the divorce goes is going to depend entirely on Ben and Jen playing nice, which means he’s got no choice but to suck it up and be as accommodating to her as possible.”

“He’s pretty much living in fear of her right now, which is why he made such a big point of denying the Kick rumours.”

The insider added, “From his point of view, it’s frustrating that he’s being held back from having fun, but he cant risk it,” noting, “He’s hoping she’ll want to wrap up this divorce quickly, but she could easily drag it out if he does anything to trigger her.”

“Ben should have said nothing. He tried to erase Kick from his existence, and it was just not fair for her, or for anyone who knows her.”

So far Ben Affleck himself has not made any comments about the matter but at the same time, it’s doubtful that he will.

Ben has made it pretty clear that he wants nothing to do with the spotlight and he certainly doesn’t want to see his name in the headlines anymore, which is why he’s decided to put his marriage with Jennifer in the past.
