It’s certainly been an uphill battle for him. There’s a new report that says Donald Trump is finally in the lead ahead of Kamala Harris before Tuesday night’s anticipated presidential debate. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to a new report, Donald Trump extends his lead on political betting site Polymarket to 8 points ahead of the debate this evening. So far it’s Trump at 54 percent with Harris at 45 percent.
All the pressure is on Harris as the betting markets are predicting that she will win the debate, with 75% of people predicting that she will be crowned as the winner.
Also, the winner will be determined by Ipsos/538’s opinion poll conducted after the debate.
It’s also been noted that tonight’s debate will be Trump’s seventh and Kamala’s first presidential one.
Of course, the internet had a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “Could you imagine the lead Trump would have if the media actually treated him equally??”
“Kamala has a mountain to climb and her knee pads aren’t going to help this time. Trump just has to keep his cool during the debate and he’s got this.”
Another critic wrote, “This is the type of situation where Trump can really hurt himself. He should be very careful. Kamala is going to get far more sympathy than he will and he doesn’t need to come off as a bully, but instead he needs to be Reaganesque.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Unless she has a major gaff, I think she will exceed expectations and be seen as the winner but that doesn’t mean people will be persuaded to vote for her. I jus wish that more voters would educate themslves about these kinds of things.”
“An immense amount of pressure is on Kamala Harris tonight to perform after she has basically hid in her basement since becoming the nominee.”
