Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) have made real progress as of late.

Summer’s been doing her best to move beyond Claire’s past and is warming up to her cousin. It also doesn’t hurt that her stepson Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) is over the moon about his nanny, and Claire has truly proven that she’s a good person who can be trusted.

But will all this progress be thrown out the window as a romance between Claire and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) develops?

Y&R Spoilers: Klyaire Gets Closer – Will Summer Be Jealous?

Y&R spoilers suggest that some sparks are flying between Kyle and Claire. In fact, it looks like the two are planning to go out to dinner or see a movie together at some point soon.

While they are not a couple and plan to go out as “friends” this doesn’t mean that a lip lock (or more) isn’t in the cards.

What would Summer’s reaction be if she and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) ran into Kylaire or even caught them in a moment?

Chance may suggest the four of them sit together or hang out. It may ease the tension, right? Wrong! It could rub Summer the wrong way seeing her ex and her son’s nanny out together.

A grilling session could ensue, which would be awkward for all parties involved. If Summer starts with 20 questions for Claire and Kyle, this could cause an all-fight between the exes, with either Summer, Kyle or both storming out of the situation.

With Summer and Claire’s newfound closeness and Summer finally landing on the same page with Kyle over Harrison’s custody, it feels like a new drama is about to arise.

Will Summer be jealous of Claire seeing Kyle? Could Chance witness this side of Summer?

This may place a wedge in the Summance romance. But what if it caused their breakup? Summer has recently said what a great influence Chance has had on her.

He’s calmed her down during chaotic moments and has helped her become a better person. But even someone as great as Chance has his limits. If he sees Summer trying to jeopardize Claire’s budding romance with Kyle, he may break up with her. He may also be suspicious that she still has feelings for her ex-husband.
