Former First Lady Michelle Obama has been slammed for supposedly being a ‘huge hypocrite.’
That’s because during her speech at the Democratic National Convention, she talked about the importance of “hard work and humility and decency” and also talked about her mother and her poor upbringing.
Michelle said, “She and my father didn’t aspire to be wealthy. In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed.”
While there’s no doubt that Kamala Harris and her new running mate, Tim Walz, have been on fire, it seems like Michelle Obama still has a reason to give them the side eye.
That’s because a lot of people think that all of the hype surrounding the Harris and Walz campaign might be a little fabricated.
Back in 2008 and again in 2012, Michelle’s husband Obama didn’t have to fake any of his popularity. That’s because he already had what it took to win the presidential elections both years.
While there’s no doubt that Michelle Obama would have been a strong candidate for the Democratic party and an even stronger opponent against Donald Trump, she made it clear that she doesn’t want anything to do with the world of politics again.
And that might be because she wants to protect her family from the spotlight and even the mainstream media.
But now that the race is getting tighter and Kamala is only a few short months away from possibly becoming the first female president of the United States, Michelle feels like she wants to be a part of the movement, too.
Michelle knows that she could have been part of this movement, but it’s too late now. Her choice was made. While Kamala does have a very good chance at beating Donald Trump on election day, having Michelle by her side would have also blown her out of the water.
