Outspoken conservative and television personality Meghan McCain has recently made a rather bizarre statement about Donald Trump and Kamala Harris and it’s one that’s making a lot of her fans and followers scratch their heads over it.

Meghan took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to weigh in on everyone’s opinions about the upcoming presidential election, including her own.

She said, “I greatly respect the wide variety of political opinions of all of my family members and love them all very much.”

“I however, remain a proud member of the Republican Party and hope for brighter days ahead.”

But what got everyone riled up is when Meghan said, “Not voting for Harris or Trump, hope that clears things up.”

It goes without saying that the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some even commented with, “Not voting is a vote for Trump. The Republican Party that you and I yearn for is not coming back anytime soon unless Harris defeats Trump bigly. Then there’s a chance we could see it again down the road.”

Is Meghan McCain Right?

Another critic wrote, “Thank you Meghan for clearing this up, which, I believe everyone already knew, that your a proud Republican. No one, at least me, doesn’t want you to change your party affiliation but at least vote for a candidate, who has a chance of winning.”

“Not voting for either is your choice, but with having a democracy, I would choose Kamala over neither. At the end of the day, I would like for once, for you to choose country, as your brother did, over choosing anyone else, who has no chance of being president. But, you are just one vote, like myself and everyone else.”

And then there was this comment as well: “C’mon Meghan, don’t waste your vote!!”

“Lots of proud members of the Republican Party are voting for Harris! I was a Republican for many years. Voted for him in 2016 but immediately, Trump drove me away. I might be persuaded to come back if the Republicans can ever find a decent ticket again.”
