Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie recently opened up about how she’s been embracing her age and ageing, seeing how she’s now closer to 50 than ever before.

Angelina said in her new interview with IndieWire that she’s not shy about aging and that she feels like the older is, the better she gets. And there are certainly a lot of people out there who definitely wouldn’t disagree with her, either.

After all, Angelina has always been considered as one of the most beautiful women in the world and that certainly hasn’t changed over the years at all.

The ‘Maria’ actress told the publication, “I’m 49. I do feel like an older woman now and I embrace that.”

The actress continued, “When I was younger, there were certain pieces of music and certain sounds that matched what I was feeling: I was falling in love, or I was curious about this, or whatever I was going through.”

“There is nothing that meets what you’re feeling like opera. [Some pieces] are so beautiful, so full of hope and so full of yearning. Opera is bigger. It is bigger than we allow ourselves to feel in every moment.”

Also, speaking about her new role as Maria Callas in the film ‘Maria,’ Angelina explained that the opera singer often expressed her pain through her art.

“It’s such a complete feeling of being so open and human, and the totality of so much of the tragedies that she lived or played or felt or performed.”

“Most people carry a great deal of pain. And so much of her art was the exploration of depth of emotion that she was able to connect to because she carried quite a lot.”

Angelina Jolie is currently promoting the film at the Venice Film Festival in Italy. ‘Maria’ is already out now in theaters.
